What are affiliate links?

Some links on this site and in our video descriptions are affiliate links. If you click one and buy or sign up for the product or service, we may receive a commission — at no extra cost to you. That commission helps pay for the research and tools that go into this content.

How we disclose

• Articles: a disclosure line appears near the top of any article containing affiliate links, and beside the first affiliate link.
• Videos: we state the affiliate relationship out loud early in the video and repeat it in the description.
• Social: posts with affiliate links carry a clear "Affiliate link" label.

Do affiliate links change our recommendations?

No. We only recommend products and services we have researched. We do not accept payment in exchange for positive coverage. Sponsored content is always labelled as a paid promotion, separately from affiliate disclosure.
